My daily fix of inbound marketing and social media usually starts with the Hubspot blog. Hubspot's latest blogpost about LinkedIn explains how they have a new Twitter app that you can add to your profile which gives a lot more integration with Twitter allowing you to respond to tweets as well as follow people within LinkedIn. The nice thing about this app is that you can now easily see which of your LinkedIn connections also have Twitter accounts. The new app also provides a link to create a complete private Twitter list of these connections.
Here's some screen shots that will walk you through the 4 steps to actually add the new Twitter app to your LinkedIn profile:
Step 1:
Login to LinkedIn, Click the "More" button and in the drop down list choose the "Application Directory"
Step 2:
Find the App called "Tweets" and click on it
Step 3:
Click the "Add Application" button
Step 4:
In the Tweets App, click on the Connections tab to see which of your LinkedIn connections have Twitter profiles.
This is definitely a nice feature for LinkedIn and I was very surprised by the amount of connections in my LinkedIn profile that also had Twitter accounts that I wasn't following.
